Save money — check before you call!

If your heating or cooling system fails to operate properly:

• Be sure the power to the unit is on

• Check thermostat for proper setting, if your thermostat is digital, check the batteries

• Check for dirty filters; filters that are dirty can restrict the airflow and cause the
  furnace to shut off for safety reasons

• Check that the blower door on the furnace is properly seated. Some furnaces have
  an interlock switch that stops the unit from operating if the door is not seated properly.

• Check for a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse.

If your hot water heater starts to leak... first of all, don't panic!
Just follow this simple shut-down procedure to render the water heater inoperative.

1. Turn off the cold water supply to the water heater.
2. Turn off the gas or electric supply to the water heater.
